Stock Condition Surveys
Stock condition surveys help NLM make sure your home is safe, well maintained and meets current safety standards, including fire safety.
What is a stock condition survey?
A stock condition survey is a simple inspection of your home carried out by NLM or our consultants. It helps us understand the condition of the property and identify any repairs, improvements or safety concerns.
This work is in line with our legal responsibilities, including fire safety and housing standards.
What is the survey for?
The survey helps us to:
- Identify potential fire safety risks
- Plan repairs and future improvements
- Keep accurate records of our homes
- Make sure your home continues to meet safety requirements
What does the survey involve?
The survey is a visual check of key areas in your home, such as:
- Doors and windows (including your front door)
- Walls, ceilings and floors
- Kitchen and bathroom areas
- Heating, ventilation and general condition
- Visible electrics
- Damp & Mpi;d
It may also highlight any issues that could increase fire risk, such as hazards affecting escape routes or fire spread.
The visit is non-intrusive and we aim to keep disruption to a minimum.
