We know that everyone in society is worried about the spread of the Coronavirus and at NLMHA we are doing everything we can to support our residents and staff.

Government advice

If you think you may have symptoms of the virus, or have questions about whether you should be staying at home, please go to the government website for the latest advice.

Benefits and sick pay

As Coronavirus spreads it is expected that higher numbers of people than usual will be off sick for a time. Please see below for the latest guidance from the government on what you may be eligible to claim.

Paying rent

NLMHA still has to collect rent during the coronavirus emergency, and the usual methods of payment are still available. If are worried about your income reducing please contact your local authority to apply for housing benefit. If you are already in receipt of Universal credit, please contact the Department of Works and Pensions (DWP).

Completing repairs

At the moment we are carrying out emergency and urgent repairs. Our contractors may call ahead of the appointment to make sure you don’t have any symptoms. If you do, we’ll stay in touch, wait for you to recover and then re-book. Some of our operatives may be wearing extra protective equipment, to help reduce the chances that they will be affected by the virus.

Our office will be closed for anyone to visit until further notice. We will however continue to provide services through emails and telephone.

To help provide the best service we ask all our residents and service users to email us. This will enable the relevant teams to deal with the queries efficiently during office hours.
