About Us

North London Muslim Housing Association is the largest Muslim led housing association in the UK. NLMHA emerged in response to the needs of the Muslims for social housing, and has developed into a significant provider of housing to meet the needs of the Muslim Community.

NLMHA was founded in 1986 and was registered with the Housing Corporation in1989. By the late 90's the organisation had established its roots in 3 boroughs, which had a substantial Muslim presence. Through our work in three boroughs' both the local authorities and the Housing Corporation have begun to grasp and understand the Muslim housing needs.

OUR MISSION

North London Muslim Housing Association is a community-based Housing Association whose aim is to provide housing for those in need, at rents that are affordable and to give the Community an opportunity to participate fully in the provision of social housing.

The Association shares the aspiration of a wider Muslim Community. It maintains close links with Muslim community centres, mosques, youth projects, training, employment and business schemes, operating within the UK, for urban regeneration and community development.
